The city of Palermo today is a wonderful mix of history, culture and monumental wealth due to its millenary history and the extraordinary stratification of dominations and cultures that have characterized it. Palermo is a city that preserves traditions and folklore, something that can be appreciated when taking a tour of the old markets of Ballarò, The Capo and The Vucciria, a din of colours, sounds and smells that inexplicably create a cheerful harmony. For those who do not want to give up the sea, Palermo offers the opportunity to take a wonderful walk from the Foro Italico to the Cala, the city's tourist pier. Moving on for just a few more kilometres, you can find Mondello and The Capo Gallo nature reserve.These magnificent stretches of coast are ideal for enjoying a relaxing day in the sun.
